Sign your kids up for Kids Cook at the Market! Kids Cook classes take place at our Portland State University Market on Saturdays June 18 through Aug. 27. Classes are taught by instructors Arielle Clark of The Portland Kitchen Inc. culinary program and Julie Merry of The Merry Kitchen.
The Kids Cook program allows junior chefs to cultivate their culinary skills and experience many farm-fresh foods. Classes include a shipping trip around the market, professional hands-on instruction, chats with area farmers, recipes to take home and of course, taste-testing! This year’s menu includes berry crepes with fresh whipped cream, pasta from scratch and breakfast tacos.
Classes are open to children ages 7 to 11 and cost $10 per child, per class. To register, call the Portland Farmers Market Administrative office or visit the information booth at any of our markets to complete a registration form.
Remember class size is limited and payment is required to reserve space.
