“The Portland Farmers Market Reusable Bag Design Contest is a wonderful opportunity for our young artists,” said Marie Pearson, art teacher at Wilson High School. “Each year, many students devote several hours outside of class to their artwork. This contest is very important to us, it showcases our young artists and aligns with our core community values of supporting local farmers.”

Students were asked to submit original artwork around the theme “You’ve got a lot growing for you” and use inspiration from Portland’s spring and summer seasons and local market goods in their designs.
