Country Financial Bag Contest Event Winners To Be Announced June 4

Please join us as we, along with COUNTRY Financial, announce the winning entry and two runners up on June 4 at Portland State University Farmers Market.

The theme for the seventh annual reusable bag design contest is “From Our Farm to Your Fork,” and students were encouraged to incorporate the city of Portland with imagery seen at the local market such as fruits, vegetables and flowers. The designs had to match the theme and include “2016 Portland Farmers Market” in the imagery. The reusable bag contest not only awards local students with a financial start to their future, but also supports important environmental initiatives such as reducing waste, promoting recycling and creativity. More than 200 entries were received – the largest since the contest began in 2010.

First place wins the honor of having his/her artwork printed on all reusable bags and receives a $1,000 scholarship from COUNTRY Financial. Runners up will each receive a $500 scholarship with their designs on display at the unveiling event.
