Shipping Station Returns to PSU Market Through Sept 3

PFM-ShippingStationRackCardBackWe are excited to announce that the Portland Farmers Market shipping station has returned to our PSU Market for a limited time. Now through September 3, you can purchase non-perishable market items and bring them to our shipping station, where we will pack and ship them anywhere within the US for a flat fee.

The shipping station is useful for visitors from out of town who may want to bring home the bounty of Portland but may not have enough room in their suitcase. It is also a convenient way to send a birthday, graduation or wedding gift to your friends or family who live elsewhere. It is also a great way to support our vendors while sharing the incredible bounty of our region with your loved ones. You can find jam, vinegar, chocolate, coffee, hot sauce, nuts, popcorn, pickled items and many other high-quality, locally-made products that are eligible for shipping.

Many of our vendors who sell non-perishable items already offer shipping services, but by using our shipping station you can ship a variety of gifts from different vendors. Here’s how it works:

  1. Purchase your non-perishable market gifts (here is a partial list) and bring them to our shipping station at our PSU market.
  2. We will help you choose the appropriately-sized box for your gifts and pack them scurely.
  3. You can purchase a note card for $2 to include with your gift if you would like, and we’ll include some crinkle paper and a gift bow to make your package look festive for the holidays.
  4. Once you’re done packing your box, leave the rest up to us! Each box or envelope will come with a pre-paid shipping label and $50 of insurance, all included in the final price.
