‘Tis the Season for Giving…and Eating Pie!

More families buying fresh, healthy food from local farmers is a simple yet powerful idea. Our sister nonprofit, Farmers Market Fund, believes that everyone deserves the food they need to be healthy, and makes it possible for low-income families to shop at their neighborhood farmers market.  Their program, Double Up Food Bucks helps SNAP participants eat more fruits and vegetables by doubling their dollars and making locally grown food more accessible.

This year Farmers Market Fund is a featured charity in the Willamette Week’s Give!Guide.  Give the gift of healthy food and support Oregon farms by donating to Farmers Market Fund this holiday season.

What makes your gift even sweeter?  All donors to FMF receive a free piece of pie from Lauretta Jean’s, and ten donors of $25+ will win the Portland Farmers Market Cookbook!
