A peel good solution to food waste.
Disco Soup is a fun community cooking event featuring DJs and dancing, free soup, and no food waste.
Join us at the PSU Farmers Market for Disco Soup on Saturday, April 27th. Prepare and cook with us starting at 10 a.m. We’ll eat together at noon!
Bring your own bowl and spoon to enter a raffle for the chance to win $50 in Portland Farmers Market tokens and a Portland Farmers Market Cookbook.
World Disco Soup Day is a Slow Food Youth Network effort to raise awareness about food waste and climate change. On April 27th groups around the world will organize events to rescue perfectly good food headed in to the waste stream and use these ingredients to make soup. Disco Soup offers a free bowl of soup to the public while raising awareness about food waste and climate change, along with a fresh sound track and dancing.
