Volunteer Orientation April 9: Please Join Us!

If you’ve ever visited one of our seven farmers markets, you’ve probably noticed the friendly people in red aprons who are happy to answer your questions. These fantastic people are our volunteers, and we couldn’t do the work we do without their help. From counting tokens to folding merchandise and providing information at our markets and assistance with special events, volunteers contribute more than 1,000 hours to our markets every year and we could not be more grateful. Most shifts take place at our PSU Market on Saturdays but there are a variety of other shifts available to fit your schedule and interests.

Now that spring is here, you have the chance for you to join our team of fantastic volunteers! We are hosting our spring volunteer orientation Saturday, April 9 from 9 am to 11 am. If you are interested in volunteering with us, we encourage you to attend the orientation, hosted by Haley Hessler, our volunteer coordinator. Attendees will review the volunteer manual, complete a market scavenger hut, practice working with shoppers at the information booth and take a quiz about what they learned throughout the morning.
