The winning design beautifully depicts the theme “From Our Farm to Your Fork” with fresh fruit and vegetables being carted in a truck toward scenic  Portland. Shoppers can pick up the canvas bag featuring Jenkins’ artwork for free.

The design was unveiled at a special ceremony at the Portland  State University Farmers Market on Saturday, June 4. Nancy Bignell, a Lakeridge High School sophomore, and  Kaylyn Bradley,  a Scappoose High School sophomore, were announced as runners-up and will each receive a $500 scholarship.

“Audrey’s artwork captures the spirit of Portland while reminding us that locally sourced fresh fruits and vegetables are an American classic for any meal,” said Tim Harris, COUNTRY Financial agency vice president.

Since 2010, COUNTRY Financial has provided $12,500 in scholarships to Portland-area students. Thank you to COUNTRY for their support and to all of the students who entered the contest!
