Local foods. Portland’s incredible dining scene. Cooking. Eating. Reading. If you love these things as much as we do, we’ve got an event that you won’t want to miss!
On Saturday, October 12, from 10am-1pm we’re dishing up our first ever Cookbook Fest at the PSU Market. You’ll have the chance to meet your favorite Portland chefs and authors, who will be on hand with their latest books. Stop by to chat with the authors, purchase signed books for yourself or as gifts, watch cooking demos, take home recipes, and enjoy sample dishes from their new cookbooks.
Here’s the all-star lineup:
Karen Brooks, The Mighty Gastropolis
Lynne Curry, Pure Beef
Sasha Davies, The Cheesemaker’s Apprentice
John Gorham & Liz Crain, Toro Bravo
Ellen Jackson, The Chefs Collaborative Cookbook
Diane Morgan, Roots
Gabriel Rucker & Andrew Fortgang, Le Pigeon
Laurie Wolf, Portland Oregon Chef’s Table
Also, be sure to head over to the demonstration stage to watch these three chef/authors cook up seasonal recipes from their books using ingredients from the market:
Piper Davis of Grand Central Bakery will make an Oregon Filbert and Honey Tart from The Chefs Collaborative Cookbook, by Ellen Jackson
Diane Morgan will make a Carrot Top Pesto from her cookbook, Roots
Lynne Curry will make a New England Simmered Supper from her cookbook, Pure Beef
We hope to see you at this sure-to-be delicious event!
