Get ready to taste the flavors of the season this Get ready to taste the flavors of the season this Sunday!

We are thrilled to host Jenny Tseng, a friend of the market & a Mora Mora Farm staff member, at King Farmers Market on Sun, Nov 8, 11 am - 1 pm.

Stop by the Chef's booth to watch her prepare a delicious recipe that combines flavors inspired by her Asian heritage with local fall produce from the market's farmers. You'll also have the chance to sample the dish and ask any questions you may have.

This event is open to all, so gather your friends, neighbors, and family for an experience full of flavors, learning, and enjoyment!

About the Chef:
Jenny is the daughter of Taiwanese immigrants and a transplant to the Pacific Northwest from the Bay Area. Her love of local foods has led her to dairy farming in Western Massachusetts, supporting food pantries in Berkeley, and researching the school meal program at Oakland Unified School District. Now in Portland, Jenny supports farm-to-early-childhood work across Oregon and caters food with roots in her family's Taiwanese and Cantonese foodways. Her food systems work is fueled by a lifelong joy in nourishing and building community through shared meals that preserve cultural traditions and celebrate diasporic creativity. She can be found helping her fellow farmers plant Asian veggies, befriending people at the grocery store, and organizing community events for those in the diaspora to connect with their cultural roots through food.

Everyone is invited to come together for this spec Everyone is invited to come together for this special cultural event!

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), celebrated in Mexico and parts of Latin America, is a time to remember and honor loved ones who have passed away through offerings, food, symbols, decorations, and music.

We are honored to host community ofrendas (altars) at our weekend markets, curated by our market staff members with a cultural tie to the holiday.

**All are welcome to bring pictures of their deceased loved ones to display on the ofrendas!**

Join us in celebrating this tradition at our markets this weekend:

We are thrilled to highlight another awesome grant We are thrilled to highlight another awesome grant recipient: Euzumeh!

WHO THEY ARE:
Euzumeh brings Middle Eastern food with a Pacific Northwest flair to pop-ups, private events and local markets.
Their current market offerings include hummus, red pepper-feta dip, house-made pickled vegetables, dukkah, harissa and fresh sourdough pita. They source many of their products' ingredients directly from other market vendors!
Euzumeh is a vendor at the PSU Farmers Market, and their final market of the 2026 season is this Saturday, October 31.

HOW THE MATTHEW CHOI FARMERS MARKET VENDOR GRANT HELPED THEM:
The grant helped Euzumeh pay for equipment for their farmers market booth, including tables, signs, a tent, and more. The funding also helped with their first round of packaging needs for jars and labels.

GROWTH:
Since receiving the grant in 2023 and establishing a booth at the farmers market, Euzumeh has experienced an increase in catering opportunities and has expanded their customer base at the market.

WHAT'S NEXT:
They plan to continue vending at markets while also offering more pop-ups and catering services.

Help support future emerging food entrepreneurs like Euzumeh @euzumeh as they launch and expand at local farmers markets in 2027.
