Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor with Portland Farmers Market!

We are now accepting vendor applications for the five markets we operate in Portland, Oregon: PSU, Shemanski Park, King, Kenton, and Lents International Farmers Markets.

Please follow the steps outlined below to apply.

STEP 1: Determine Your Eligibility

Each of the markets feature vendors offering food and farm products only. All products must be grown, raised, caught, gathered or produced by the vendor in Oregon or Washington, and must be pre-approved before being sold at the market.

Please note the following are not accepted at our markets:

Food trucks and food carts
Gas powered generators
Crafts, pet food and non-food items unless grown and produced by the farmer/producer.
- Examples of exceptions may include flowers, herb tinctures, soap, beeswax candles, wool products.
Cannabis Products (THC/CBD)
Nationally or internationally distributed products
Businesses located outside of Oregon or Washington

STEP 2: Ask Your Questions and Attend an Information Session

If you have questions about applying, please email us apply@portlandfarmersmarket.org.

We encourage all prospective vendors to attend an online information session to learn more about our markets, eligibility and the application process. Information sessions will be held virtually on the following dates and times.

Step 3: Learn about PFM’s Priorities for Acceptance and Process to Apply

We strive to curate balanced and diverse marketplaces that showcase our region’s agricultural bounty, support returning & emerging businesses, and meet the unique interests of each market’s customer base. PFM is committed to fostering inclusive and anti-racist policies for vendor selection and prioritizes the acceptance of businesses from groups who have been historically marginalized. This includes members of the BIPOC, Immigrant, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Our selection committee is tasked with curating farmers markets with the goal of supporting a vendor mix of approximately 70% Farmers/Ranchers/Fishers/Foragers, 25% Farm-Direct Processors and 5% Product Representatives at each market.

STEP 4: Apply

Begin the application process by creating a vendor profile on Marketspread.

Important Application Notes:

One non-refundable $15 application fee covers application to all five PFM markets.
- This will appear in the PSU application only.
- If you are not applying to the PSU market, you will receive an invoice from PFM.
- If this fee is a significant financial barrier for you, and your business is eligible to be a vendor at our markets, please email us at apply@portlandfarmersmarket.org
Your application will automatically save once you begin.
Please be prepared to submit a schedule for the full market season, including planned and/or known market absences. You are unable to change your schedule in Marketspread once you submit the application.
Adjustments to your schedule and application are to be made directly through PFM by contacting apply@portlandfarmersmarket.org
All application materials must be submitted by Friday, January 16, 2026, or it will be declined without further review.
Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email from Marketspread with a notification regarding your application status and next steps.
If you apply to multiple PFM markets, many but not all questions will auto-fill. Please review the entire application.

Important Dates for Applicants to Note

Jan 16, 2026: Applications for all markets close.

Feb 8, 2026: All applicants will be notified by PFM about next steps.

Feb 8 – 15, 2026: Product Jury for Farm-Direct Processors – Hot Food/Ready To Eat applicants.

Feb 12, 2026: Product Jury for Farm-Direct Processors – Bakery/Confection, Food Artisan, and Alcohol applicants.

Mar 8, 2026: All applicants will be notified by PFM regarding application status.

Mar 26, 2026: Online orientation for new vendors.
