Double Up Food Bucks at Portland Farmers Market

In our current public health and economic crisis, affordable food access has never been more important. SNAP, otherwise known as food stamps, provides vital support for low-income people to get fresh, nutritious food, and the Double Up Food Bucks program lets SNAP shoppers get twice the food for each benefit dollar. It also supports local farmers, because every matched dollar stays in the local farm and food economy.

The bottom line is that the reason I farm is to feed my community, and assistance programs like Double Up Food Bucks make that community wider, broader, and more diverse. That’s what feeds me as a farmer” – Nicki Passarella, Amica Farm

With the support of our partners at Farmers Market Fund, we are proud to accept SNAP at all of our markets, and offer Double Up Food Bucks at our King and Shemanski Park markets starting in May.
