Try Arcoiris's refreshing Incan exilirs this Wedne Try Arcoiris's refreshing Incan exilirs this Wednesday at Shemanski Park Farmers Market. Arcoiris is a small-batch fusion beverage company crafting non-alcoholic, vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO sparkling beverages with Peruvian ingredients and flavors. Currently, they offer two elixirs: Elixir #1: Chicha Morada (chee-chah mor-ah-da) is a beloved Peruvian beverage made from maíz morado (purple corn). Originating from the Peruvian Andes, maíz morado is revered by indigenous people as a "plant of remembrance". This sweet, fruity, and mildly spiced elixir is also available in a zero-sugar version. A honey version is coming soon. Elixir #2: Lucuma (loo-koo-muh) is a native tropical fruit found in Peru and South America. This exilir has creamy, mellow & lightly sweet flavors and is rich in antioxidants, especially flavonoids, which are known for their anti-inflammatory effects. You can find Arcoiris and their delicious beverages at the market on the first Wednesday of every month, as well as at the PSU, King, and Kenton Farmers Markets. Don't miss out! Taste the notoriously delicious bagels & sandos at Taste the notoriously delicious bagels & sandos at Notorious B.A.G.E.L. this Saturday at PSU Farmers Market. Notorious B.A.G.E.L. is owned and operated by chefs Mindy and Aurélien Crosato of Collective Market, an established specialty market & eatery in Hillsboro. They craft artisan bagels by hand, drawing inspiration from a variety of cultural flavor profiles. Choose from an assortment of freshly baked bagels! Options include classics like "Ya Basic" (plain) and "All That" (everything), as well as unique flavors such as Elote Street Corn, Masala Chai, and Wasabi Pea. You can also enjoy fun options like Chicken Soup, Buffalo Blue Cheese, Frito Pie, and Cheesy Garlic Bread! Their house-made cream cheese spreads and sandwiches are also exceptional! These are crafted with locally sourced seasonal ingredients, including Chinook salmon, fresh herbs, fruit, and vegetables that they roast, smoke, and dry themselves.
