Read about the Shemanski Park Farmers Market’s new vendors and their product offerings in their own words:
- ArcoIris Exilirs: A modern twist on Chicha Morada, a beloved Peruvian beverage, made from maiz morado, a crop with origins in the Peruvian Andes. Revered by indigenous people as a “plant of remembrance,” the practice of brewing Chicha Morada is so old that no original recipe for the drink exists.(Find them at the market on the 1st Sunday of the every month. They are also at PSU, King, and Kenton Farmers Markets.)
- Babkush: Inspired by Jewish food traditions from around the world, Babkush is a community-rooted bakery offering babka, rugelach, amaretti, and seasonal holiday treats. (Find them at the market on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month. They are also at PSU, King, and Kenton Farmers Markets.)
- Cohesive Farm: Cohesive Farm grows a diverse range of fruits and vegetables, including leafy greens, peas, fava beans, and squash, utilizing regenerative practices to enhance soil health and produce high-quality, seasonal produce. (Find them weekly at the market. They are also at PSU Farmers Market.)
- Clark Family Farms: A small family-run farm in La Center, WA, producing body products made with milk from their well-cared-for goats. Their body wash, face cream and hand & body cream are made with simple, natural ingredients that are good for your skin and the environment. (Find them every two weeks at the market. They are also at PSU Farmers Market. )
- Josi Farms: We are a fourth-generation family farm located in the lush river bottom soils of Tillamook, Oregon. We grow a wide variety of vegetables year-round in our temperate coastal climate. The soil on our farm produces some of the sweetest carrots and brassicas in the country. We are also well known for our heirloom purple Italian Artichokes. (Find them weekly at the market.)
- Love Crumble: Love Crumble is a Portland-based dessert and specialty drink brand inspired by a rainy-day discovery of British crumble in London. We serve freshly made crumbles layered with seasonal fruit, custard, and cookie crumble, along with matcha, hojicha, and coffee sourced from local partners. Come say hello and enjoy a little love in every crumble. (Find them weekly at the market.)
- Rose City Soda: Made in the Pearl District, our functional fruit sodas are made with real cane sugar, a five-spice blend, and local seasonal fruit without any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. (Find them at the market every other Wednesday. They are also at PSU and Shemanski Park, Farmers Markets.)
