Earth Day Celebration

Join us for a day dedicated to local agriculture, sustainability, biodiversity, and community that can lead to a better tomorrow for our planet.
We are thrilled to partner with and host SoundsTruck NW at the market for this special event. Their mobile stage will transform into a concert stage, kitchen, and learning lab:
- 9 AM — Coffee Talk: Brewing a Better World with Slow Food Coffee Coalition and SUNAO Coffee & Cacao
- 10 AM — Farmer’s Talk: Planting Seeds of Resilience with Nick Canino, Rhythm Seed Farm
- 11 AM — Storytime with Live Music: Stories of Earth and Time with Leslie Barnard Booth
- 12 PM — Chef’s Talk & Cooking Live Demo: Food as Medicine with Chef Naoko
- 1 PM — Live Music: Echoes of Nature – Sounds of Japan with Maido Mind
Engage with participating vendors and visiting community partners and anytime between 9 AM to 2 PM:
- Food Waves: Learn about food justice and how to grow your own microgreens with Farmer Matt Brown.
- Urban Gleaners: Learn how they reimagine food waste and fight hunger.
- PSU Smallwood Food Pantry: Explore ways you can support community food security.
- The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation: Don’t miss the chance to make unique pollinator crafts, engage in fun educational games, and discover valuable resources for creating your own pollinator-friendly garden.
And from 11 am to 1 pm, our goat milk vendor, Cottage Hill Farm will have their baby goats!
