A beloved staple at the Kenton Farmers Market since 2021, we are excited to have Three Little Mushrooms at one of our downtown markets this season. David, owner and lead mycologist, cultivates high-quality, gourmet mushrooms, including Lion's Mane, Pioppino, Shiitake, and King Oyster, with a commitment to natural, environmentally responsible farming. His mushrooms are hyper-local (grown in Kenton), super fresh (often harvested the morning of the market), and very reasonably priced. In addition to mushrooms, David offers grow kits, enabling anyone with a bit of countertop space to produce a pound of mushrooms at home easily. We are delighted Mora Mora Farm has joined King Fa We are delighted Mora Mora Farm has joined King Farmers Market this season! Farmer/owner Catherine Nguyen (pictured on the left) established Mora Mora Farm in 2018 through the Headwaters Farm Incubator Program. Catherine grows over 40 types of seasonal vegetables and Asian heritage crops - quite impressive for a farm that spans just one acre in Troutdale! Minimal tillage and bio-intensive farming practices enable the farm to cultivate a diverse array of produce for their thriving Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, as well as for local nonprofit partners and a network of like-minded restaurants and chefs. And Mora Mora Farm has recently been certified as organic! They will be at King Farmers Market weekly throughout the season! Swing by their booth and say hello.

We are delighted to welcome back a friend of the market, Chef Althea, for another recipe demo highlighting the freshest seasonal produce sourced directly from King vendors. (Swipe to see her appearance last year!) Everyone is invited to stop by the chef's booth to witness her culinary creativity, learn about the local ingredients she used, sample the recipe, and ask questions! About the Chef: Althea Grey Potter has been cooking in Portland for 15 years, with an unwavering focus on highlighting the best produce from local farms.
