Each market features vendors offering food and farm products. All items must be grown, raised, caught, gathered, or produced by the vendor in Oregon or Washington, and they must be pre-approved before being sold at the market. We take pride in serving as an incubator for local small food businesses and in supporting numerous local and regional farms, bakeries, meat and seafood providers, cheese makers, and specialty food producers. We're thrilled to welcome Truffle Infusions to PSU We're thrilled to welcome Truffle Infusions to PSU Farmers Market this winter season! They offer high-quality fresh native Oregon black and white truffles, along with delicious nuts, butter, and oils that they infuse themselves. Every week from January to March, they venture into the forests with their specially trained Lagotto Romagnolo dogs (an Italian breed known for truffle hunting) to harvest these culinary treasures. They forage in forests that they lease from landowners. This provides the landowners with income from forest products, with the intent that they have more money to reforest and leave the trees standing longer. Make sure to stop by Truffle Infusions booth to learn about and experience the enchanting aroma of truffles. Be sure to shop their products to elevate your dishes, too! They will be at PSU Farmers Market every Saturday through the end of March.

Join us on Thurs, Jan 29 at 4:30 pm for our 1st workshop: Boost Your SNAP & Double Up Sales by Enhancing Shopper Experience Presented by Mallory Watson, Farmers Market Fund, this workshop was initially developed for market managers in 2022, with input and guidance from the Hunger Free Oregon SNAP Community Advisory Board, and has been adapted to be relevant for market vendors and their staff. Topics covered will include: ▪ The state of hunger in Oregon today and how we got here. ▪ Defining trauma and how it shows up for people. ▪ How creating a safe and welcoming environment at the market for our most vulnerable neighbors can lead to increased sales and more repeat customers. There will be plenty of time for breakout groups, reflection, discussion, and questions. Hope to see you there!
