It's our favorite week of the year - join us!

This annual seven day long event takes place the first week of August and highlights the important role farmers markets play in our food system. These vibrant food and farm marketplaces connect local farmers and food producers with shoppers, foster community connections, and promote food access, education, and advocacy for a brighter future.

Why not commemorate this special week by visiting one of our five markets or your local farmers market this week with a friend, neighbor, or coworker who has never been?

It’s a great opportunity to introduce someone new to the farmers market and support the regional growers and producers who work hard to bring us the season's bountiful offerings! Enjoy a delicious variety of fresh berries, sweet corn, crisp cucumbers, juicy melons, ripe peaches and stone fruits, spicy peppers, plump tomatoes, and so much more.

Welcome Salsas del Barrio to Kenton Farmers Market!

Salsas del Barrio is a husband-and-wife team with a passion for Mexican cuisine and a dream of sharing the flavors of their heritage with the community.

They specialize in Salsa Macha, an olive oil-based salsa made with dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and cranberries, which is vegan, gluten-free, and high in protein.

Made by hand in small batches locally, their Salsa Macha is crafted with care and attention to detail, resulting in a delicious blend of bold, spicy, sweet, and smoky flavors with a medium heat level. It's great on tacos, roasted veggies, and eggs. Dip chips into it. Slather on grilled bread.

Stop by their booth at Kenton Farmers Market this Wednesday and sample their tasty product.

Salsas del Barrio will be at the market monthly throughout the season.
