Visit Shemanski Park Farmers Market this Wednesday (and every Wednesday through October 29) from 10 am to 2 pm, welcome these local small food businesses to the market and sample and purchase their offerings.
There is something for everyone, from locally grown culinary mushrooms to pistachio nut butter:
- Carioca Bowls: Handcrafted açaí bowls made with organic, fair trade, and sustainably harvested açaí topped with local granola, fruits, nut butters, and other specialty ingredients. (Find them weekly at Shemanski Park Farmers Market.)
- Chio Pistachio Spreads: A woman-owned business that creates spreads using premium, sustainably sourced pistachios and natural ingredients. These spreads are delicious on toast, blended into smoothies, or paired with fruits and vegetables from the farmers market. (Find them at the first market of the month at Shemanski Park Farmers Market.)
- Three Little Mushrooms: Owner and farmer David cultivates high-quality gourmet mushrooms (including Lion’s Mane, Pioppino, and Blue Oyster) in North Portland. He also offers mushroom grow kits, allowing anyone with a little countertop space to produce a pound of mushrooms at home! (Find them weekly at Shemanski Park Farmers Market.)
To find out when specific vendors will be at the market, visit the Shemanski Park Farmers Market page, scroll down to the “Market Vendors” section, select the market date you want to view, and click the “Show Vendors” dropdown.
Or you can subscribe to the market’s weekly email reminder here! Every Tuesday, you will receive a list of the scheduled vendors and a few market highlights.
We’ll publish a blog post about the new vendors coming to Kenton and Lents International Farmers Markets next month.
Until then, see you at the market!
