Welcome Salsas del Barrio to Kenton Farmers Market Welcome Salsas del Barrio to Kenton Farmers Market!

Salsas del Barrio is a husband-and-wife team with a passion for Mexican cuisine and a dream of sharing the flavors of their heritage with the community.

They specialize in Salsa Macha, an olive oil-based salsa made with dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and cranberries, which is vegan, gluten-free, and high in protein.

Made by hand in small batches locally, their Salsa Macha is crafted with care and attention to detail, resulting in a delicious blend of bold, spicy, sweet, and smoky flavors with a medium heat level. It's great on tacos, roasted veggies, and eggs. Dip chips into it. Slather on grilled bread.

Stop by their booth at Kenton Farmers Market this Wednesday and sample their tasty product.

Salsas del Barrio will be at the market monthly throughout the season.

Welcome to Okome Kitchen to PSU Farmers Market! O Welcome to Okome Kitchen to PSU Farmers Market!

Okome Kitchen specializes in Amazake, a fermented rice drink that is deeply rooted in the owners' Japanese culture and heritage. Owners Akiko and Ayako craft their product locally and aim to share this unique beverage to support health-conscious living while connecting cultures through food.

Amazake is a delicious, umami-filled, plant-based drink that has been treasured in Japan for over 1,000 years. It is made from just three ingredients: rice, koji, and water.

This non-alcoholic drink is naturally sweetened through the fermentation process and contains no gluten, lactose, or added sugar. Amazake is rich in gut-friendly enzymes, vitamin B, and amino acids, and contains significantly higher probiotic concentrations compared to other fermented foods.

You can enjoy Amazake as a refreshing drink, or used in smoothies, overnight oats, and various other recipes.

Stop by their booth to taste and learn about Amazake at PSU Farmers Market every 4th Saturday of the month.
